What is a Capture the Flag (CTF) Competition?
A Capture the Flag (CTF) competition in cybersecurity is a gamified event where participants complete hacking-related challenges to earn points. Each completed challenge reveals a “flag,” a hidden piece of information. The more flags your team captures, the more points you earn. The top three teams with the highest scores will be rewarded with exciting prizes!
What to Expect at Cybersec Europe 2025
Our CTF competition will focus on two key areas:
- Web Application Security – Challenges based on OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, giving you hands-on experience in identifying and mitigating real-world security risks.
- Network Forensics – Test your ability to analyze network traffic and uncover hidden clues.
The competition is designed for beginner to mid-level participants, ensuring accessibility for those new to cybersecurity while still offering a challenge for experienced professionals.
