Cybersec Europe, taking place on May 21 and 22, 2025, is introducing a first. For the first time, the trade fair will dedicate a theater exclusively to technical IT profiles and security professionals for two days. They will have the opportunity to follow technical tracks led by renowned IT and security experts.

Cybersec Europe is well known and highly regarded for its extensive content program. In addition to the various (product) sessions in the theaters, the event also features a main stage where experts deliver keynotes on cybersecurity strategy. However, this year, there will also be a strong focus on technical tracks, covering topics such as incident response, application security, and threat intelligence—particularly the practical and technical aspects of these fields.

“Of course, cybersecurity is a matter of vision and business alignment. But it is also about execution. It is about getting things done,” says William Visterin, Program Manager of Cybersec Europe, explaining the motivation behind introducing the first-ever Tech Stage during the two-day event at Brussels Expo on May 21 and 22.

Speakers

Several technical experts have already confirmed their participation on the Tech Stage. Among them are Jan-Pieter D’Anvers from COSIC/KU Leuven, who will deliver a visionary presentation on homomorphic encryption, and Jeremy Schmidt, who will discuss location tracking and Signaling System 7.

Also scheduled for a technical track are Thomas Hayen from Easi, who will cover defeating point-in-time testing, and Michael Nijs from Maiky, who will present on automation & AI in infosec management. Additionally, Jan Guldentops will speak about infrastructure as code.

Davy de Mits and Stijn Van Hoof from Exclusive Networks will also take the stage. They will first present on the main stage and then continue their discussion with a technical follow-up session on the Tech Stage.

30-minute sessions and pitches

Technical presentations on the Tech Stage will each last approximately 30 minutes, allowing ample time for interaction. On the second day, there will also be a dedicated slot for tech and cybersecurity startups to introduce themselves with short technical pitches, in connection with the Cybersec & Computable Awards. In the coming weeks, additional speakers for the Tech Stage at Cybersec Europe will be announced.
