Cybersec Europe, the leading cybersecurity event, has unveiled the first speakers for its 2025 edition. This year, the event will welcome Matthieu Demenois (NATO), Freddy Dezeure (cybersecurity expert), Anouk Van Brug (Member of the European Parliament), and Despina Spanou (European Commission). The event will take place on May 21 and 22 at Brussels Expo.
Combining an extensive exhibition floor, inspiring keynotes, interactive panel discussions, sessions in the cyber hubs, and the Cybersec & Computable Awards, Cybersec Europe offers a unique experience. The theme for this edition is “Stronger Together,” emphasizing collaboration in cybersecurity.
Keynotes & Panel Discussions
The 2025 lineup already includes some impressive names. Matthieu Demenois, Head of Education & Training at NATO’s Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, will discuss their international cyber defense exercises.
Freddy Dezeure, a leading cyber advisor and founder of both CERT-EU and EU MITRE ATT&CK, will deliver a talk titled Cybersecurity in the Boardroom: Train or Blame Your Board?
Additionally, Anouk Van Brug (MEP for VVD and cybersecurity specialist) and Despina Spanou, Chief of Staff to European Commission Vice President Margaritis Schinas, will take the stage to share the latest insights and strategies.

In addition to the keynotes, experts such as Jeremy Rollison (Microsoft EU Policy Manager), Christiaan Beek (Sr. Director Threat Analytics at Rapid7), and Selma Turki (Partner Digital & Emerging Technology at EY) will contribute to a diverse program.
Topics will range from current trends (cyber warfare to boardroom discussions) and regulations to practical cases and operational technology security.

On May 22, the prestigious Cybersec and Computable Awards will also be presented. These awards recognize leading innovations and initiatives in cybersecurity and enterprise IT across Belgium and Europe. Nominations are still open.
